Warranty & Repair Information

Both our MicroTally-14 and MicroTally-18 units have a warranty which covers all repairs under normal use for 2 years (24 months). Warranty on the battery inside the unit is for 4 years.

The warranty does NOT cover the following:

If, however, a drink or other liquid gets on the unit at some point, this does not automatically void the warranty. If we deem that the reason for part failure was not caused by the liquid (if it is obvious), we will still make the repair under warranty.

So the bottom line is: Don't play hockey with the unit, don't use it as a boat anchor, and don't use it as a coaster for your beer. You should be covered by our warranty.

Return shipping is paid by us for repairs under warranty.

Extended Warranties

For those that want more peace of mind...

We do offer a 5-year, bumper-to-bumper, extended warranty for an additional cost of $150. All items covered in our standard warranty will be extended to a full 5 years for both normal repairs and battery replacement.

Repairs Outside Of Warranty

If 2 years have elapsed since purchasing your unit, or if damage has been caused to the unit that is not covered by the warranty, then you will need to pay for repairs to your units. Our repair policy is below.

Repairs start with a base cost of $50 per unit. This is to cover our time for repair, cleaning of components, and inspection of the unit. Any parts that need replaced will be added to the base fee. Some common parts and costs are:

Generally the total price for the average repair is under $60. Older units that may have to have the battery replaced will generally be under $70.

Units will be inspected and tested before and after repairs. Repair work is guaranteed, if the unit had a specific problem that it was sent in for and the problem is still encountered within 60 days of the repair, you can send it back with no additional fees charged to re-inspect and repair the problem.

Shipping and insurance are not included and will be added to your cost.

Sending In Units For Repair

It is best if you contact us before sending in units for repair, so we can determine if the problem sounds like a unit problem or if it sounds like software or other issues. If you have your unit serials numbers handy we can also determine if any repairs may be covered by your warranty before you send your unit in.

If you have units that you would like to send in for repair you may send them to:
